Effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria – Treponema spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Trichomonas spp., Chlamydia spp., Ureaplasma spp.

Contains activity (although somewhat reduced) in the presence of blood, pus, various secretions and organic substances.

Lidocaine is a local anesthetic.

The antimicrobial effect and adequate anesthesia develop 5-10 minutes after application of the drug.

The water-soluble clear gel provides clear optical vision during various endoscopic procedures.

Indications

Surgical and diagnostic interventions in children and adults in urology, gynecology, proctology:

all forms of endoscopy;
replacement of fistula catheters;
intubation and mechanical ventilation.

Composition

Active ingredients:

lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate 2 g;

chlorhexidine bigluconate 0.05 g;

methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate 0.06 g;

propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate 0.025 g

Pregnancy

In the first trimester of pregnancy only if absolutely necessary.

If used during lactation, you should refrain from breastfeeding for 12 hours after using the drug.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, including to alkyl-4-hydroxybenzoates.

Side Effects

Interaction

Avoid combined use with iodine preparations.

MAO inhibitors enhance the local anesthetic effect of lidocaine.

Incompatible with soap, as well as detergents containing an anionic group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose).

Compatible with drugs containing a cationic group (benzalkonium chloride)

Overdose

Symptoms: In case of severe damage to the urethra, the development of side effects associated with the systemic action of lidocaine ((with the systemic action of lidocaine (bradycardia, convulsions, collapse); if the drug is used incorrectly, orthostatic hypertension of central origin is possible.

Treatment: for bradycardia – beta-adrenergic stimulants, for convulsions – barbiturates or short-acting muscle relaxants, for collapse – epinephrine or intravenous dopamine.
