Intenon – stimulates brain and myocardial metabolism, analeptic, coronarodilator, improves cerebral and coronary blood circulation, antispasmodic.

All components (etamivan, hexabendine, etophylline) act jointly and unidirectionally on various links of pathogenesis of ischemic and hypoxic CNS lesion.

Pharmacodynamics

Etamivan stimulates the respiratory and vasomotor centers and has a pronounced activating effect on the limbic system and the reticular formation of the brain stem which leads to the adequate functioning of neuronal complexes of cortex and subcortical stem structures and, respectively, to the regression of neurological deficit and activation of the vegetative sphere. Hexabendin stabilizes cerebral and cardiac blood flow autoregulation mechanisms, moderately dilates coronary and cerebral vessels, increases glucose and oxygen transport and utilization by brain cells, stimulates neuronal metabolism, activates anaerobic glycolysis and pentose cycle, facilitates neurotransmitter synthesis and exchange, and restores synaptic transmission. Etofillin increases cardiac minute volume, which increases perfusion pressure in vessels of the ischemic marginal zone, stimulates subcortical formations of the midbrain, centers – respiratory, vasomotor, autonomic regulation, nuclei of cranio-brain nerves, especially the vagus nerve.

Active ingredients: hexobondine dihydrochloride 10 mg; etamivan50 mg; etophylline 100 mg;

Excipients: disodium edetate 0.08 mg; propylene glycol 416 mg; water for injection up to 2 ml

How to take, the dosage

Intramuscularly or intravenously slowly or dropwise.

Depending on the severity of the condition, 1-2 times a day 1 ampoule in a v/m or IV slowly; or 1-2 times a day 1 ampoule as a drip infusion with 250 ml of 5% glucose solution. As the condition improves, treatment may be continued with oral forms of the drug (coated tablets).

In some cases, when rapidly administered, BP may decrease; therefore, the duration of infusion of 1 ampoule should be at least 3 minutes.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, epileptiform syndromes (state of severe agitation, seizures, etc.), increased intracranial pressure (prolonged headache, vomiting, visual disturbances), intracerebral hemorrhages.

Side effects

Headache, hyperemia, hypotension.
