Pharmacodynamics

A combination drug for topical use. Soluble sulfonamides contained in the drug have antimicrobial action (against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria causing diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx). Timol, eucalyptus ball leaf oil and peppermint leaf oil have antifungal (against fungi of the genus Candida), antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and mild analgesic effects.

Pharmacokinetics

The drug forms therapeutic concentrations mainly in the lesion of inflammation. Sulfonamide drugs are partially absorbed, which bind to blood proteins: streptocide soluble by 12-14%, sodium sulfathiazole by 55%. In the process of biotransformation acetylated forms of drugs are formed, in which form they are excreted by the kidneys. Half-life of streptocide is 10 hours, sodium sulfathiazole – 1-2 hours.

Tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, aphthous and ulcerative stomatitis.

How to take, the dosage

Topically. After removing the safety cap from the bottle and putting on the supplied atomizer, spray the suspension into the oral cavity for 1-2 seconds. The product is held in the oral cavity for 5-7 minutes. Irrigation is carried out 3-4 times a day with prior rinsing of the mouth with boiled water. To avoid clogging the orifice of the sprayer at the end of the manipulation it should be blown out or placed in a glass with clean water. The can should be held strictly vertically during use. If after treatment, no improvement or worsening of symptoms or appearance of new symptoms occurs, medical advice should be sought. Use the drug only according to the indications, the route of administration and the dosage indicated in the instructions.

The use of Inhalipt in children is possible only on the doctor’s recommendation.

If taken for more than 2 weeks, it may cause dental damage.

The content of ethanol in a single dose is 10 mg, in a daily dose – 40 mg (in terms of absolute alcohol).

Impact on the ability to drive vehicles, mechanisms

The use of the drug does not affect the ability to perform potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration and rapid psychomotor reactions.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug, children (under 3 years), pregnancy, breastfeeding.

Side effects

Allergic reactions (skin rashes, itching), a brief sensation of burning or farting in the throat.

Overdose

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting associated with swallowing part of the drug.

Treatment: no specific antidote, symptomatic and supportive therapy.
