Hypromelose-P, eye drops 5 mg/ml, 10 ml

Hypromellose-P is a remedy for local use in ophthalmology. Hypromellose is a protector of the corneal epithelium, has a lubricating and softening effect, has a high viscosity, which increases the duration of contact of the solution with the cornea.

The index of refraction of the solution is similar to natural tears. Helps to restore, stabilize and reproduce the optical characteristics of the tear film.

Pharmacodynamics

It has a protective effect on the cornea when tear fluid secretion is reduced, increases the duration of action of eye drops and protects the cornea from their irritant effects.

Composition

Active ingredient:

Hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) 5 mg;

Auxiliary substances:

Sodium chloride,

dietate dihydrate,

benzalkonium,

dexpanthenol,

chloride,

purified water to 10 ml.

How to take, the dosage

Push into the lower conjunctival sac, frequency of application – 4-8 times a day.

The course of treatment is at least 2-3 weeks.

Interaction

Do not use at the same time as eye drops containing heavy metal salts.

Special Instructions

Do not exceed the therapeutic doses, do not use for a long time.

To be used only when not wearing contact lenses.

The use of drops in the acute stage of chemical burns of the cornea and conjunctiva is not recommended until the toxic substance has been completely removed.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to hypromellose.

Side effects

In some cases: local allergic reactions, possible unpleasant feeling of sticking of the eyelids (due to the high viscosity of the solution).
