Indications

For intensive moisturizing, lubrication and protection of the anterior surface of the eye (cornea and conjunctiva) with a pronounced and prolonged feeling of “dryness” of the eyes, foreign body sensation, burning sensation in the eyes, including those arising under the influence of climatic factors and intense visual stress
For intensive hydration, lubrication and acceleration of healing of the anterior surface of the eye after ophthalmic surgery, as well as damage and trauma to the cornea.
To eliminate discomfort when wearing hard and soft contact lenses

Pharmacological effect

The medical product “Moisturizing ophthalmic solution “HILOMAX-KOMOD®” is a sterile isotonic 0.2% aqueous solution of sodium hyaluronate, containing no preservatives, in an original container (the “KOMOD®” system).

The hyaluronic acid (in the form of sodium salt) included in the HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution is a natural substance. Sodium hyaluronate is a physiological polysaccharide compound found both in the tissues of the eye and in other tissues and fluids of the human body.

A special physicochemical property of sodium hyaluronate molecules is their pronounced ability to bind water molecules. An aqueous solution of sodium hyaluronate has the necessary viscosity and high adhesive properties in relation to the anterior surface of the eye, due to which the HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution forms a uniform, long-lasting pre-corneal tear film on the surface of the cornea, which is not washed off when blinking and does not cause a decrease in visual acuity. Thus, the eye is protected for a long time from the feeling of dryness and irritation that often occurs when in contact with the environment, as well as when wearing contact lenses.

HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution contains a significant concentration of sodium hyaluronate and, therefore, provides high viscosity. Prolonged and intense discomfort disappears, resulting in permanent protection of the eyes from irritation.

At the same time, constant and sufficient hydration of the surface of the eye contributes to the normal physiological course and acceleration of healing of injuries and wounds of the eye after injuries and surgical interventions.

The HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution makes wearing any hard or soft contact lenses more comfortable, while the HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution does not deposit on the surface of the lenses.

The HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution is placed in the original “KOMOD®” container, which is a complex system of reservoirs and valves that guarantees the absence of air penetration from the outside and ensures the extraction of drops of the same size, regardless of the degree of force applied.

The metal parts and valves of the container in contact with the HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution are partially coated with a thin layer of silver, which, together with the absolute tightness of the system, ensures the sterility of the HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution in the absence of preservatives.

This eliminates possible undesirable effects of preservatives on eye tissue and ensures good tolerability of the HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution even with long-term use.

Special instructions

After using the HILOMAX – COMOD® solution, throw the container into the trash.

Composition

1 ml of HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution contains:

Sodium hyaluronate (sodium salt of hyaluronic acid) – 2 mg

Anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate dihydrate, sorbitol, water.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the components included in the HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution.

Interaction

In case of combined use with ophthalmic drugs, it is recommended to maintain a pause of at least 30 minutes between instillation of eye drops and use of the HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution. Eye ointments should always be applied after 30 minutes
after instillation of the HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 0C. Keep out of the reach of children.

Shelf life

Shelf life: 3 years.

In unopened original packaging: 3 years.

After opening the bottle, the HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution should be used within 12 weeks.

Mark on the bottle the date when you first instilled the HILOMAX-KOMOD® solution. The bottle label has a special column for the patient to fill out: “Date of first use.”

Do not use after the expiration date stated on the package.
