The natural physiological intestinal microflora can be significantly disrupted by external influences such as antibiotic therapy, radiation, gastric surgery, as well as by unsuitable and unfamiliar diet, water changes, climate change and other conditions.

Hilac forte regulates the balance of the intestinal microflora and normalizes its composition. Due to the composition of the preparation the products of metabolism of normal microflora, Hilac forte promotes the restoration of normal intestinal microflora in a biological way and helps to maintain physiological and biological functions of the intestinal mucosa.

The biosynthetic lactic acid and its buffer salts contained in the product restore normal intestinal acidity, regardless of whether the patient has increased or decreased acidity.

There is evidence that Hilac forte improves protective functions of the body by stimulating the immune response.

When using Hilac forte an acceleration of excretion of Salmonella in infants after salmonellosis enteritis has been noted due to stimulation of growth of acidophilic anaerobic flora and its subsequent antagonistic effect on Salmonella.

Composition

Oral drops as a clear, pale yellow to yellow-brown solution with a characteristic sour odor.

How to take, the dosage

Adults, 40-60 drops 3 times a day; children, 20-40 drops 3 times a day; infants, 15-30 drops 3 times a day. After improvement of condition the initial daily dose of Hilac forte may be reduced by half.

The drug is taken orally before or with meals, diluted with small amounts of liquid, excluding milk.

Interaction

In concomitant use with antacids, it is possible to neutralize lactic acid contained in the drug Hilac forte.

Special Instructions

It is not recommended to take the drug at the same time as milk and dairy products.

Contraindications

– hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side effects

No adverse reactions have been observed so far.

Digestive system disorders: constipation and diarrhea are possible.

Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, urticaria are possible.

Hilac forte is well tolerated by patients of any age.
