Herbion Plantain Syrup, 150 ml

Tracheitis, Bronchitis, Cough

The drug is used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by dry cough; also in dry cough of smokers.

Composition

5 ml of syrup contains:

Active substances:

1 Plantain lanceolate leaf and mallow flower extract liquid aqueous 2.5 g

2Ascorbic acid 65.00 mg

Auxiliary substances: sucrose, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), orange oil flavoring

Note.

12.5 g of plantain lanceolate leaf and mallow flower liquid aqueous extract prepared from:

Plantain lanceolate leaves (Plantagoe lanceolata L.s.l, family. Plantain – Plantaginaceae) 0.25 g

Mallow flowers (Malva sylvestris L, Malva sylvaceae) 0,25 g

purified water (extractant)

265.00 mg ascorbic acid in the form of 73.12 mg sodium ascorbate.

How to take, the dosage

In the mouth, it is recommended to take the drug with plenty of tea or warm water.

Shake before use!

Children aged 2 to 7

1 scoop (5 ml) 3 times a day

Children from 7 to 14 years

1-2 scoops (5-10 ml) 3 times a day

Adults and children over 14 years

Two scoops (10 ml) 3-5 times a day

The duration of therapy 2-3 weeks. The prolongation of the course or the repeated course of therapy is possible after consultation with the doctor.

Interaction

Gerbion® Plantain Syrup should not be used at the same time as cough suppressants and medicines that reduce sputum formation, because this makes it difficult to cough up liquefied sputum.

Special Instructions

It is contraindicated in children under the age of 2 years.

Take 2 scoops (10 ml) 3-5 times a day

. Contraindicated in patients with diabetes, congenital fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, sucrose-isomaltase deficiency.

One scoop of the syrup (5 ml) contains 4 g of sucrose. If the recommendations for usage are followed, which are indicated in the package insert, the patient will take from 4 g (1 scoop) (which corresponds to 0.4 bread units (BE)) to 8 g (2 scoops) (which corresponds to 0.8 BE) of sucrose.

The use of Herbion® Plantain Syrup does not influence the ability to perform potentially dangerous activities, which require increased concentration and rapid psychomotor reaction (driving vehicles, operating moving machinery, operator’s work).

Synopsis

The syrup is brown to reddish-brown in color with a characteristic odor. Slight opalescence is allowed.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug, diabetes, congenital fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, sucrose-isomaltase deficiency, children under 2 years of age.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible. If side effects occur, stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

Overdose

To date, there have been no reported cases of overdose.

Pregnancy use

Pregnant and nursing women taking Herbion ® Plantain syrup is contraindicated (due to insufficient safety data on the use of the drug in this group of patients).
