Hepafor® is a combined multicomponent drug of directed hepatoprotective action. Active components of the drug have mutually potentiating action directed simultaneously on several pathophysiological processes in the liver: prevention of damage to liver cell membranes, suppression of free radical reactions and lipid peroxidation processes, suppression of pathological immune activation and inflammation.

Indications

The drug is used by adults of all age groups in complex therapy for the treatment of:

Toxic liver damage (including drugs).
Acute viral and chronic hepatitis, including medicinal ones, including those developed during the use of anti-tuberculosis drugs, and to restore normal intestinal flora.
Chronic hepatitis of various etiologies, including dysfunction of the biliary tract.
Liver cirrhosis (as part of complex therapy).
Conditions after hepatitis.
Acute viral hepatitis.
Liver cirrhosis.

The drug is used for prophylactic purposes in cases of chronic intoxication (including occupational intoxication), long-term use of medications and alcohol.

Special instructions

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or machinery.

Active ingredient

Milk thistle dry extract, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Lactobacillus fermentum

Composition

One capsule No. 0 contains

active substance: milk thistle dry extract – 100 mg, excipients: colloidal silicon dioxide 0.1–1 mg, magnesium stearate 0.4–4 mg, corn starch up to 105 mg,

capsule shell composition: titanium dioxide (white) 2%, iron oxide (yellow) 0.05–1.8%, gelatin up to 96 mg

and one capsule No. 3.

One capsule No. 3 contains

active components: bifidobacteria bifidum, sorbed on colloidal silicon dioxide – no less than 50 million CFU, lactobacilli fermentum, sorbed on colloidal silicon dioxide – no less than 50 million CFU,

excipients: colloidal silicon dioxide 0.6 mg, magnesium stearate 1–10 mg, lactulose up to 0.20 g,

capsule shell composition: titanium dioxide (white) 2%, iron oxide (yellow) 0.05–1.8%, gelatin up to 48 mg.

Pregnancy

There is no data on the use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the components of the drug. Childhood.

Side Effects

Allergic reactions and the development of a laxative effect after taking the drug are possible.

Interaction

The drug may be taken with other medications, including antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs.

Overdose

There were no cases of overdose.

Storage conditions

Store at temperatures from 2 to 10 °C.
Transport at temperatures from 2 to 10 °C. The drug can be transported at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C for no more than 10 days.

Shelf life

18 months.
