Greater Plantain leaves, 50g

Infusion of plantain leaves increases the secretion of bronchial glands, has a mucolytic, anti-inflammatory effect, stimulates the secretion of gastric juice, increases its acidity.

Indications

Used in bronchitis, whooping cough, bronchial asthma, tuberculosis; kidney disease, urethritis, cystitis; atherosclerosis, arterial hypertension; Traumatic ulcers, bruises, wounds, cuts, burns, furunculosis; inflammatory diseases of the mouth and nasopharynx; hypacidal gastritis, colitis, enteritis, enterocolitis, constipation.

How to take, the dosage

10 g (2 tbsp) crushed leaves are placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, close lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 min, cooled at room temperature for 45 min, strain, squeeze the remaining raw material.

The volume of the resulting infusion bring boiled water to 200 ml. The infusion is taken orally in 1/2 cup (100 ml) 2-3 times a day 30 minutes after a meal for 7-10 days.

Before using the tincture it is recommended to shake it.

Contraindications

– hypersecretion of gastric juice;

– gastric and duodenal ulcer during exacerbation;

– hypersensitivity to preparations of the plantain.

Side effects

Possible allergic reactions, in rare cases – heartburn.
