Glycifon ointment shows local action in tumors and pre-tumor skin diseases.

Indications

Stage I squamous cell skin cancer;
basal cell carcinomas (including relapses of tumors after surgical treatment and radiation therapy);
Bowen’s disease;
senile keratosis.

Pharmacological effect

Glyciphon ointment has a local effect on tumors and pre-tumor skin diseases.

Special instructions

If hyperemia and swelling of the surrounding tissues develop, especially when applying ointment in the periorbital area, it is necessary to take a break for 2-3 days and prescribe lotions with a solution of nitrofural (furatsilin) ​​or ointment with glucocorticosteroids after the break, treatment is continued.

The intensity of local side effects of Glycifon® ointment can be reduced by reducing the duration of daily exposure of the ointment to the tumor to 6 hours instead of 24 hours. To avoid hyperemia and swelling, zinc paste is first applied to the skin around the tumor.

To reduce pain at the site of application, you can simultaneously apply 5-10% ointment with benzocaine or other local anesthetics to the lesion.

The use of the drug does not affect driving or engaging in potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Interaction

Drug interactions with Glyciphon ointment 30% have not been described.

Overdose

No cases of overdose of Glycifon® ointment have been identified to date.

In case of accidental ingestion of the drug, gastric lavage should be performed.
