Special Instructions
If hyperemia and swelling of the surrounding tissues develops, especially when the ointment is applied to the periorbital area, a break should be taken for 2-3 days and nitrofural (furacilin) solution lotions or glucocorticosteroid ointment should be administered after the break.
The intensity of local side effects of Glicifon® ointment may be reduced by reducing daily ointment exposure to the tumor to 6 hours instead of 24 hours. Zinc paste should be placed on the skin around the tumor in advance to avoid hyperemia and swelling.
The 5-10% ointment with benzocaine or other local anesthetic may be applied at the same time to reduce pain at the site of application.
The use of the drug does not affect driving and engaging in potentially hazardous activities requiring increased concentration and quick psychomotor reactions.
