Active substances:

Dextrose monohydrate – 500 mg;

Supplementary substances:

talk – 6 mg,

stearic acid – 4 mg.

How to take, the dosage

Glucose tablets are taken orally at 0.5 – 2.5 – 5 g (1-10 tablets) per administration, the tablets can be broken, chewed, or sucked up.

The dose can be increased if necessary.

Re-taking is possible with regard to body weight, not exceeding a dose of 0.3 g/kg/hr.

The tablets should be taken 1-1.5 hours before meals because of possible decreased appetite after glucose intake.

Special Instructions

Glucose tablets are a source of easily available nutrients, but are not a full substitute for a balanced diet.

There are no data on the effect of the drug on the ability to drive vehicles and perform other potentially dangerous activities that require high concentration and rapid psychomotor reactions.

Synopsis

The tablets are white, flat-cylindrical, beveled and ribbed.

Contraindications

Diabetes mellitus (except in cases of hypoglycemia).

Side effects

Decreased appetite, hyperglycemia (in case of diabetes mellitus or overdose).

Overdose

Symptoms: hyperglycemia, glucosuria, hyperglycemic hyperosmolar coma, hyperhydration, disruption of water-electrolyte balance, increased liponeogenesis with increased production of CO2, which leads to a sharp increase in minute respiratory volume and, consequently, respiratory rate; fatty liver infiltration.

Treatment: stop glucose administration, inject insulin, symptomatic therapy.

Pregnancy use

Using the drug during pregnancy and breast-feeding is possible under indications. It is necessary to consult a physician.
