Gentamicin-ACOS, ointment 0.1% 15 g

Gentamitsin-Acos has bactericidal effect.

Actively penetrates through the cell membrane of bacteria and irreversibly binds with 30S subunit of bacterial ribosomes and thus inhibits the synthesis of the pathogen protein.

It is highly active against aerobic gram-negative bacteria as well as against aerobic gram-positive cocci and some strains.

Neisseria meningitidis, Treponema pallidum, some strains of Streptococcus spp. are resistant to Gentamicin, anaerobic bacteria.

Indications

Bacterial skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive microflora – pyoderma (including gangrenous) superficial folliculitis furunculosis sycosis paronychia.

Infectious: dermatitis (including contact seborrheic and eczematous) ulcers (including varicose ulcers) wounds (including lax surgical wounds) burns (includinginsect bites skin abscesses and cysts “vulgar” acne; secondary bacterial infection with fungal and viral skin infections.

Composition

100 g of the ointment contains:

The active ingredient: gentamicin sulfate (in terms of gentamicin)- 0.1 g

Ancillary substances: solid petroleum paraffin – 5.0 g, medical Vaseline – up to 100 g.

How to take, the dosage

Apply a thin layer to the affected area 3-4 times a day.

Special Instructions

Treatment is carried out under the control of the antibiotic drug, since the development of resistance is possible with prolonged use. In such cases, treatment should be noted and appropriate therapy initiated.

When applying to large skin surfaces, the possibility of resorptive action should be considered, especially in patients with chronic renal insufficiency.

If there is no therapeutic effect within 1 week, a physician should be consulted.

Side effects

Allergic reactions: local – skin rash itching skin hyperemia burning sensation; rarely generalized – fever angioedema eosinophilia.

When absorbed from large surfaces, systemic effects may develop.
