Gaviscon, mint suspension 300 ml

Geviscon® enters the stomach and interacts with its contents to form a protective barrier (raft) that prevents the onset of heartburn.
Geviscon® is an antacid.
Pharmacodynamics
When taken orally, Gaviscon reacts quickly with the acidic contents of the stomach. This forms an alginate gel that prevents the occurrence of gastroesophageal reflux. In regurgitation, the gel is more likely than the stomach contents to enter the esophagus, where it reduces mucosal irritation.
Pharmacokinetics
The mechanism of action of Gaviscon is independent of absorption into the systemic bloodstream.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of dyspepsia associated with increased acidity of gastric juice and gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn, sour belching); feeling of heaviness in the stomach after eating, incl. during pregnancy.
