Symptomatic treatment of dyspepsia associated with increased acidity of gastric juice and gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn, sour belching), feeling of heaviness in the stomach after a meal, including during pregnancy.

Interaction
Because the calcium carbonate contained in the drug exhibits antacid activity, at least 2 hours should pass between the intake of Geviskon® and other drugs (especially at the same time as H2-histamine receptor blockers, tetracycline antibiotics, digoxin and fluoroquinolones). and other drugs should be at least 2 hours apart (especially when concomitantly taken with H2-histamine receptor blockers, tetracycline antibiotics, digoxin, fluoroquinolone, iron salts, ketoconazole, neuroleptics, thyroxine, penicillamine, beta-adrenoblockers, glucocorticosteroids, chloroquine and diphosphates).
Special Instructions
The dose of four tablets has a sodium content of 246 mg (10.6 mmol). This should be considered when it is necessary to follow a diet with a very limited salt content, for example, in some cases of congestive heart failure and with renal dysfunction.
Each dose of four tablets contains 320 mg (3.2 mmol) of calcium carbonate. Caution should be exercised when treating patients with hypercalcemia, nephrocalciposis, and recurrent renal calculi containing calcium. Because of its aspartame content, this drug should not be prescribed to patients with phenylketonuria.
There is a possibility of decreased effectiveness of the drug in patients with very low levels of gastric acidity. If symptoms do not disappear within seven days after treatment, clinical evaluation should be repeated.
The effect on the ability to operate machinery and motor transport
The drug has no effect on the ability to operate motor transport and machinery, as well as to engage in other potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration and rapid pisychomotor reactions.

Side effects
