How to take, the dosage

Fragmin should not be administered intramuscularly!
Treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism
Fragmin is administered subcutaneously 1-2 times a day. The therapy with indirect anticoagulants (vitamin K antagonists) can be started immediately. Such combination therapy should be continued until prothrombin index reaches therapeutic level (usually not earlier than after 5 days). Outpatients may be treated with the same doses as recommended for inpatient treatment.
