Biological properties
Florin® forte restores the normal microflora of the human body, inhibits the activity of pathogens of infectious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and upper respiratory tract due to the living probiotic bacteria included in the preparation: Bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium bifidum), sorbed in the form of microcolonies, and lactobacilli (Lactobacillus plantarum). The combined action of bifidobacteria and lactobacteria sorbed on activated carbon in the form of microcolumns provides accelerated normalization of quantitative and qualitative composition, metabolic and functional activity of microflora, enhance suppressive action on pathogens of acute intestinal infections, acute respiratory-viral infections and their elimination from the body, increases nonspecific resistance.

.Bifidobacteria contained in the product have antimicrobial activity due to antagonistic activity against pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms, immunomodulatory activity – they stimulate the synthesis of immunoglobulins, interferons, cytokines, participate in the formation of local immunity, stimulate mucous membrane repair and parietal digestion, produce enzymes, short-chain fatty acids and lactic acid. Bifidobacteria are biosorbents, neutralize toxins, accumulate toxic substances and remove them from the body. Lactobacillus inhibit the growth of pathogens through the production of lactic acid, hydrogen peroxide, lysozyme, are involved in the metabolism of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, nucleic and bile acids, activate the immune system, prevent the formation of long-term intestinal diseases by increasing the overall resistance of the body. Lactobacillus has hypocholesterolemic effect, reduces the redox potential, binds harmful oxygen radicals for bifidobacteria. Lactobacillus and bifidobacteria have strong suppressive effect against rotavirus and hemolytic Escherichia coli, produce antibiotic-like substances – bacteriocins, are involved in the synthesis of vitamins, use lactose during life as the main source of food.
It is not absorbed into the bloodstream.

Indications

– diseases accompanied by disruption of the normal intestinal microflora with a deficiency of bifidobacteria, lactobacilli or normal E. coli,
– acute intestinal infections caused by rotaviruses and/or opportunistic microflora,
– acute intestinal infections of unknown etiology,
– acute respiratory diseases of both viral and microbial origin,
– chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), including those with identified hemolytic Escherichia coli and associations of opportunistic microorganisms in high titers,
– restoration of normal intestinal flora during the period of convalescence after illnesses,
– dysbacteriosis of various etiologies.

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or machinery.

Active ingredient

Bifidobacterium bifidum, Lactobacillus plantarum

Composition

One capsule contains:

active components: bifidobacteria B.bifidum, sorbed on activated carbon – no less than 50 million colony-forming units (5×107 CFU), lactobacilli L.plantarum – no less than 50 million colony-forming units (5×107 CFU),

excipients: components of the drying medium (sucrose-gelatin) – sucrose 8.08–8.24 mg, gelatin 1.07–1.09 mg, activated carbon 2.73–2.79 mg, magnesium stearate l–10 mg, lactose monohydrate up to 0.20 g.
capsule shell composition: capsule body – titanium dioxide (white) 1.0–2.0%, gelatin up to 100%, capsule cover – titanium dioxide 1.0–2.0%, iron oxide (yellow) 0.05–1.8%, gelatin up to 100%.

Pregnancy

The drug is approved for use by women during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Contraindications

Congenital lactase deficiency. Impaired absorption of glucose-galactose. Individual intolerance to the drug.

Interaction

When Florin® forte is taken simultaneously with vitamins (especially group B), the effect of the drug is enhanced. When taking antibiotics, the recommended interval between taking the antibiotic and Florin® forte is 3–4 hours.

Overdose

There were no cases of overdose.
