Pharmacological properties

It has choleretic, choleretic, choleretic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antispasmodic and wound healing action. Increases the secretion of bile and increases the content of bilirubin in it, increases the tone of the gallbladder and helps the outflow of bile. It has a relaxing effect on smooth muscle of gallbladder sphincters and biliary tract, changes viscosity and chemical composition of bile.

Stimulating secretion of gastric juice and slowing down the evacuatory function of the stomach and intestines, it promotes better digestion. It activates external secretory activity of the pancreas; it dilates blood vessels of the intestine.

In promoting the excretion of cholesterol with bile, has hypocholesterolemic effect; has antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria.

Pregnancy

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, cholelithiasis, obstructive jaundice, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase, age up to 12 years, lactase deficiency, lactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption.

With caution

Arterial hypertension.

Side Effects

Allergic reactions; increased blood pressure (in patients with arterial hypertension).

Interaction

Increases the activity of metronidazole and aminoquinol in the treatment of giardiasis.

Overdose

In case of overdose, dose-dependent adverse reactions may increase.
