It has a local analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.

The mechanism of action is associated with inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis due to inhibition of COX-1 and COX-2 activity.

Reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle and joint pain.

It does not cause dryness of the skin.

Indications

Pain syndrome in:

– Ankylosing spondylitis;

– osteoarthritis;

– sports injuries (bruises, sprains, sprains, ligament injuries);

– Rheumatoid arthritis;

– Chronic juvenile arthritis;

– tendinitis;

– tendovaginitis;

– brachial scapular syndrome.

How to take, the dosage

Adults and children over 14 years of age apply the gel to the skin over the affected area in a dose of 1 g (about the size of a hazelnut) 3-4 times a day.

The duration of treatment depends on the intensity of symptoms and averages 2-3 weeks for tendinitis, tendovaginitis, brachial scapular syndrome, 1-2 weeks for sports injuries.

Special Instructions

Avoid getting the drug on damaged skin and in the eyes.

Contraindications

– renal failure;

– childhood under 14 years of age;

– III trimester of pregnancy;

– hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs;

– hypersensitivity to pyroxicam or other components of the drug.

Patients with bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, recurrent nasal and paranasal sinus polyposis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or chronic respiratory tract infections should prescribe the drug with caution.

Side effects

Local reactions: skin irritation at the site of application (inflammation, redness, peeling).

Allergic reactions: urticaria, itching.
