Express test is used for the qualitative determination of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in the urine for early diagnosis of pregnancy.

The rapid test detects the presence of a special “pregnancy hormone” in the urine – human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), which begins to be produced by the developing placenta soon after fertilization.

The urinary excretion of chorionic gonadotropin begins in the 2nd week of pregnancy and often exceeds 100 mEU/ml and reaches a maximum of 100,000 to 200,000 mEU/ml by the 12th week of pregnancy.

There are reagents on the carrier that give a specific staining when interacting with the hormone in the urine.
