Ethoxysclerol reduces the excitability of nerve endings and the conduction of the pain impulse, ensuring painless sclerotherapy.
Pharmacokinetics
The volume of distribution is 24.5 L, binding to plasma proteins is 64%, T1/2 is 4 hours. Total Cl – 11.7 l/h, renal – 2.43 l/h, biliary – 3.14 l/h. It does not cumulate with repeated injections.

Special instructions
Cannot be administered intra-arterially. When used in the ankle and ankle area, small amounts of a 0.5% solution are recommended.
When sclerosing saphenous veins and telangiectasias, the injection site is pressed with a tampon and a compression bandage is immediately applied; After the procedure, the patient must walk for 30 minutes.
The bandage compresses the walls of the veins, which prevents recanalization and promotes the formation of a fibrous scar.
When sclerosing telangiectasia, a bandage is applied for 2–3 days; for severe varicose veins, compression with elastic bandages or medical stockings of classes II-III is recommended for 4–6 weeks.
