Contraindications

Contraindications to intestinal irrigation: gastrointestinal bleeding, intestinal tumors, acute appendicitis, acute peritonitis, after surgery on the abdominal organs.
Contraindications to vaginal irrigation: acute parametritis, metroendometritis, pelvioperitonitis, etc., during menstruation and pregnancy, in the first weeks after childbirth and abortion.

Storage conditions

Esmarch mugs should be stored indoors at a temperature from +5°C to +40°C and a relative air humidity of no more than 80% at 25°C. Products should not be exposed to direct sunlight, gasoline or other solvents.

Prescribing

Intestinal irrigation is used in the following cases: when eliminating intestinal obstruction and intestinal slagging, as an adjuvant for intoxication, before operations and childbirth, before various studies of the digestive tract (x-ray, endoscopic, etc.).
Vaginal irrigation is used for hygienic and therapeutic purposes (as part of complex therapy).

Recommendations for use

Before use, disinfect the disassembled product in accordance with MU 287-113: all parts are washed in hot water (t=50±5 °C) using a neutral detergent and a soft sponge that does not scratch the surface; Disinfection of tips is carried out by immersion in a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide or a 3% solution of chloramine for 80 minutes.
After disinfection is completed, parts of the products are washed with running drinking water.
Before use, assemble the product: connect the container to the tube through the adapter; Attach a rotary tap and a corresponding tip to the end of the tube (long for vaginal irrigation, short for intestinal irrigation). Hang the reservoir of the Esmarch mug by the handle in such a way as to prevent contamination or the entry of other substances into it. The pressure of the liquid flow from Esmarch’s mug depends on the height of the reservoir. Close the rotary tap and fill the reservoir with the medicinal solution. Lubricate the tip with Vaseline, lanolin or other neutral fat. Use the rotary tap to adjust the fluid pressure.
Esmarch mugs should not be in contact with the medicinal solution for more than 30 minutes.
After use, disassemble the Esmarch mug, wash parts of the product with running water and soap, rinse, and dry.
Do not use the Esmarch mug for oil-containing products!
