Methionine, one of the active components of the drug, is an essential amino acid which is a source of mobile methyl groups.

Methionine is essential for choline synthesis. Increasing choline increases synthesis of endogenous (internal) phospholipids and decreases deposition of neutral fat in the liver.

Methionine is also necessary to neutralize xenobiotics. In atherosclerosis, it lowers cholesterol concentrations and increases blood phospholipid concentrations.

Essential phospholipids are essential factors for the development and function of liver cells.

The main fraction of essential phospholipids in the preparation is phosphatidylcholine (73%) which is the main component of biological membranes.

Phosphatidylcholine entering the body restores integrity of membranes of affected liver cells and activates phospholipid-dependent enzymes located in membrane, thus normalizing permeability and increasing detoxification and excretory potential of liver cells.

Methionine and essential phospholipids reinforce each other’s action as a source of endogenous (internal) and exogenous (ingested) phospholipids respectively, improve functional status of liver cells and have hepatoprotective (protective) effect.

Methionine also participates in the metabolism of sulfur-containing amino acids, in the synthesis of epinephrine, creatinine and other biologically active compounds, converts the action of hormones./p>

Vitamins (B12, ascorbic acid, folic acid), enzymes, proteins, participates in re-methylation, deamination, decarboxylation reactions.

Eslidin® restores liver function, increases its detoxifying ability and normalizes fat, carbon and protein metabolism in the body.

Indications

The drug is used in gastroenterology, dermatology, neurology, cardiology.

Gastroenterology:

Fatty liver degeneration of various etiologies; acute and chronic hepatitis (except viral); cirrhosis;

toxic liver damage – alcohol, drugs, drugs; dysfunction of hepatocytes (as a complication in other diseases); pre- and postoperative treatment during operations in the hepatobiliary zone.

Dermatology:

Psoriasis as part of complex therapy.

Neurology:

Atherosclerosis of cerebral vessels as part of complex therapy.

Endocrinology:

Diabetes mellitus as part of complex therapy; exhaustion, dystrophy.

Cardiology:

Atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries as part of complex therapy.

One capsule contains:

Lipoid PPL-400 (phospholipids) (based on 100% content of polyunsaturated phospholipids from soy lecithin – PPL fraction) 300 mg,

Methionine (calculated as 100% substance) 100 mg,

Soybean oil up to 550 mg.

Hard gelatin capsules:

Titanium dioxide,

Iron oxide black,

Iron oxide red,

Iron oxide yellow,

Purified water,

Gelatin.

Pregnancy

Studies confirming the safety of Eslidin® for the fetus and safety for the child during breastfeeding have not been conducted.

The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is possible only as prescribed by a doctor in cases where the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus and child.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity (increased sensitivity) to the components of the drug; severe liver failure, hepatic encephalopathy, viral hepatitis, children under 3 years of age.

Use with caution is possible during pregnancy and in children from 3 to 7 years of age, as well as in case of renal failure (due to the risk of increasing hyperazotemia).

Side Effects

Allergic reactions.

Overdose

If the daily dose is accidentally exceeded several times, a decrease in blood pressure, an increase in heart rate (pulse), and disorientation are possible.

Treatment: symptomatic (under medical supervision).

Eslidin® capsules, 10 capsules in a blister pack made of polyvinyl chloride film and aluminum foil.

30, 50, 60 or 100 capsules per polymer jar.

30 capsules per OS glass jar (orange glass) with a triangular rim, 50 or 60 capsules per glass melt jar with a screw neck.

Each jar or 3, or 5, or 6 or 10 blister packs, together with instructions for medical use of the drug, is placed in a cardboard pack.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

Shelf life

2 years. Do not use the drug after the expiration date indicated on the package.
