The drug is of plant origin, has adaptogenic effect, increases nonspecific resistance of the body.

It has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, eliminates fatigue, irritability, restores and increases physical and mental performance, protects against adverse environmental factors.

Indications

Low performance, recovery period

Asthenia, neurasthenia; recuperation (after somatic and infectious diseases); arterial hypotension, mental and physical fatigue.

Composition

Active ingredient:

Eleuterococcus root and root – 1000 g;

Auxiliary substance:

Ethyl alcohol 40% – to obtain 1 liter of the extract

How to take, the dosage

Eleutherococcus liquid extract is taken orally before meals.

Adults are prescribed 20 – 30 drops 2 – 3 times a day. Children over 12 years of age take 1 drop per year of life.

The course of treatment is 25-30 days.

If necessary, repeated courses with (or without) a two-week break after consulting the doctor.

Interaction

Eleuterococcus preparations increase the effect of stimulants and analeptics (caffeine, camphor, phenamine, etc.), are physiological antagonists of the sleeping effects of drugs that depress the central nervous system (including barbiturates, tranquilizers, anticonvulsants, etc.).

Special Instructions

The drug Eleutherococcus extract liquid should not be taken in the afternoon to avoid sleep disturbances.

In case of hypoglycemia, it is recommended to reduce the dose of the drug, take it after meals or cancel the drug.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, arterial hypertension, hyperexcitability, acute infectious diseases, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, insomnia, cerebral vascular pathology; pregnancy, lactation; children (under 12 years).

Side effects

In rare cases, allergic reactions, tachycardia, headache may occur.

When using the drug, sleep disturbances and hypoglycemia may be observed.
