Indications

Asthenia, neurasthenia; convalescence (after somatic and infectious diseases); arterial hypotension, mental and physical fatigue.

Special instructions

The liquid Eleutherococcus extract should not be taken in the afternoon to avoid sleep disturbances.

Eleutherococcus senticosus rhizomes and roots extract

Composition

Active ingredient:

rhizome and root of Eleutherococcus senticosus – 1000 g;

Excipient:

ethyl alcohol 40% – until 1 liter of extract is obtained

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, arterial hypertension, increased excitability, acute infectious diseases, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, insomnia, cerebrovascular pathology; pregnancy, lactation period; children’s age (up to 12 years).

Side Effects

In rare cases, allergic reactions, tachycardia, and headache are possible.

When using the drug, sleep disturbance and hypoglycemia may occur.

Interaction

Eleuthero coccus preparations enhance the effect of stimulants and analeptics (caffeine, camphor, phenamine, etc.), are physiological antagonists of the hypnotic effect of drugs that depress the central nervous system (including barbiturates, tranquilizers, anticonvulsants, etc.)

Storage conditions

In a dry place, protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 20 °C.
