It irritates receptors of mucous membranes, skin and subcutaneous formations, which is accompanied by release of enkephalins, endorphins and other peptides regulating pain sensitivity, vascular permeability, etc., and shows analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.

The expectorant effect is caused by stimulation of the ciliated epithelium of the mucous membranes, increased bronchial secretion and liquefaction of sputum. It promotes faster evacuation of sputum from the respiratory tract.

Causes death of many Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms (including Staphylococcus aureus and Mycobacterium tuberculosis)

Indications

Inflammatory diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract, including bronchitis, accompanied by sputum difficult to separate and cough – in the complex treatment.

How to take, the dosage

Outwardly. Adults and children over 3 years old apply the ointment to the skin of the back and chest and rub in with gentle massage movements, then cover the lubricated area with a warm flannel or woolen towel to keep warm. This procedure should be repeated several times a day, especially at night.

Inhalation. Prepare a hot solution (dissolve 2 teaspoons of the drug in 0.5-1 liters of hot water, but not boiling water) and inhale for 5-10 minutes.
