The drug increases the formation of large molecular weight mucopolysaccharides in the capillary walls and increases the resistance of capillaries, normalizes their permeability in pathological processes, improves microcirculation.
It also has a hemostatic effect caused by activation of thromboplastin formation in the area of small vessel damage, stimulates the formation of clotting factor III and normalizes platelet adhesion.
The drug has no effect on prothrombin time and does not have hypercoagulative properties, does not promote the formation of blood clots.
The action of the drug starts 5-15 minutes after IV administration and the maximum effect is reached after 1 hour. The duration of action is 4-6 hours.

The solution for intravenous and intramural administration is colorless, transparent.

How to take, the dosage
Tablets
The optimal daily dose for adults is 10-20 mg/kg body weight divided into 3-4 doses. In most cases the single dose is 250-500 mg 3-4 times a day. In exceptional cases, the single dose may be increased to 750 mg 3-4 times a day.
In case of menorrhagia, 750-1000 mg/day are prescribed from the 5th day of expected menstruation until the 5th day of the next menstrual cycle.
In the postoperative period, the drug is prescribed in a single dose of 250-500 mg every 6 hours until the risk of bleeding disappears.
In children, a daily dose of 10-15 mg/kg is prescribed in 3-4 doses.
Intravenous and intravenous solution
The optimal daily dose for adults is 10-20 mg/kg divided into 3-4 intravenous or intravenous (slow-release) injections.
In adults during surgical interventions, prophylactically administer 250-500 mg v/v or v/m 1 hour before surgery. During surgery, 250-500 mg is administered intravenously; this dose may be repeated again. After surgery, 250-500 mg every 6 hours until the risk of bleeding disappears.
In children, the daily dose is 10-15 mg/kg body weight divided into 3-4 injections.
In neonatology: Dicynon is administered v/m or v/v (slowly) in a dose of 12.5 mg/kg (0.1 ml=12.5 mg). Treatment should be started within the first 2 h after birth.
If Dicynon is mixed with saline, it should be administered immediately.
Interaction
Injection at a dose of 10 mg/kg body weight 1 h before the administration of dextrans prevents their antiaggregant effect. Administration of Dicinon after administration of dextrans has no hemostatic effect.
Combination with aminocaproic acid and sodium bisulfite menadione is possible.
Pharmaceutical interactions
Pharmaceutically incompatible (in the same syringe) with other drugs.
Incompatible with sodium bicarbonate solution for injection and sodium lactate solution.
Special Instructions
Before starting treatment, other causes of bleeding should be excluded.
1 tablet of Dicinon contains 60.5 mg of lactose (maximum daily dose of lactose should not exceed 5 g). The drug should not be prescribed for patients with congenital glucose intolerance, lapp lactase deficiency (lactase deficiency in some people of the North) or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome.
If staining of the solution for intravenous and intravenous administration occurs, it should not be used.
Intravenous and intravenous solution is intended for use in hospitals and clinics only.
The solution for I/u and IV injections can be used topically: a sterile swab or gauze cloth is soaked in the solution and applied to the wound (e.g., skin grafts, tooth extraction).

No special precautions are required.

Introduction and distribution
After intravenous administration of the drug at a dose of 500 mg, Cmax is reached after 10 minutes and is 50 µg/ml.
After oral administration the drug is quickly and almost completely absorbed. After taking the drug in a dose of 50 mg, Cmax is reached after 4 hours and is 15 mcg/ml.
Etamsylate passes through the placental barrier and is excreted with breast milk.
Elimination
About 72% of the administered dose is excreted unchanged by the kidneys during the first 24 hours.
After IV administration, the T1/2 is about 2 h, after oral administration the T1/2 is about 8 h.
Contraindications
The drug should be prescribed with caution in thrombosis, thromboembolism in the history, bleeding against overdose of anticoagulants.
Side effects
When taking the drug, heartburn, feeling of heaviness in the epigastric region, headache, dizziness, facial hyperemia, mild transient decrease in systolic blood pressure, and paresthesias of the lower extremities sometimes appear.
Overdose
There are no data on overdose of Dicynon.
