Diazolin is a blocker of histamine H1-receptors.

It has anti-allergic, antipruritic, antiexudative, as well as mild sedative effect.

Blocks histamine H1-receptors, reduces smooth muscle tone (bronchial, gastrointestinal, uterine), decreases capillary permeability and edema development, prevents itching.

Indications

Allergic rhinitis (seasonal, chronic), hay fever, allergic conjunctivitis, urticaria, Quincke’s edema, itchy dermatosis (eczema, neurodermatitis, etc.), skin reaction to insect bites;
allergic reactions to medications, food, etc.;
combination therapy of itchy dermatoses and bronchial asthma.

Pregnancy

It is not recommended to take during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, prostatic hyperplasia, angle-closure glaucoma, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, pyloric stenosis, epilepsy, heart rhythm disturbances, pregnancy, lactation, children under 3 years of age.

With caution

Hepatic and/or renal failure (dose adjustment and intervals between doses may be required.

Side Effects

From the nervous system and sensory organs: increased fatigue, slow reaction speed, dizziness, drowsiness, paresthesia.

From the gastrointestinal tract: dry mouth, heartburn, nausea, epigastric pain.

Other: urinary disorders, allergic reactions, granulocytopenia, agranulocytosis.

Interaction

Enhances the effect of ethanol sedatives.

Overdose
