Diazolin is a blocker of histamine H1-receptors.
It has anti-allergic, antipruritic, antiexudative as well as mild sedative effect.
Blocks histamine H1-receptors, reduces smooth muscle tone (bronchial, gastrointestinal, uterine), decreases capillary permeability and edema development, prevents itching.

How to take, the dosage
Diazolin is administered orally after meals.
Adults and children over 10 years of age: 50-300 mg per day. The maximum single dose is 300 mg, the daily dose is 600 mg.
Children 5-10 years old: 100-200 mg per day.
Children 2-5 years: 50-150 mg daily.
Contraindications
Prostatic hypertrophy, closed-angle glaucoma, peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer, inflammatory diseases of the stomach in the acute phase; hypersensitivity to mebhydroline, pilostenosis, epilepsy, cardiac rhythm disorders (having vagolytic effect, it may improve AV conduction and contribute to supraventricular arrhythmias), pregnancy, lactation.
Side effects
Nervous system and sense organs: increased fatigability, slower reaction rate, dizziness, somnolence, paresthesias.
Gastrointestinal organs: dry mouth, heartburn, nausea, epigastric pain.
Other: urinary disorders, allergic reactions, granulocytopenia, agranulocytosis.
