Pharmacological action:

D-Panthenol is a drug that improves tissue regeneration, for external use.

D-Panthenol is a derivative of pantothenic acid, which is a water-soluble B vitamin necessary as a component of coenzyme A for carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism. It plays an important role in the processes of acetylation during gluconeogenesis, energy release from carbohydrates, synthesis and breakdown of fatty acids, synthesis of sterols and steroid hormones, acetylcholine.

Pantothenic acid is necessary for maintaining normal epithelial function; its increased requirement is noted with skin or tissue damage, in which case local deficiency of pantothenic acid can be compensated by topical application of D-Panthenol ointment.

Stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cell metabolism, increases the strength of collagen fibers.
It has a regenerating, mild anti-inflammatory effect, nourishes and softens the skin.

Auxiliary substances improve the therapeutic properties of the ointment.

lanolin – 160 mg,

White beeswax – 50 mg,

White paraffin soft – 210.8 mg,

dimethicone – 5 mg,

emulsifier LANETTE SX – 20 mg,

propylene glycol – 20 mg,

butylhydroxyanisole – 0.1 mg,

butylhydroxytoluene – 0.1 mg,

decamethylcyclopentasiloxane – 20 mg,

magnesium sulfate heptahydrate – 5 mg,

protein B – 295 mg,

purified water – 160 mg.

How to take, the dosage

The cream or ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected area, rubbing gently, 2-4 times a day (more often if necessary). If applied to an infected skin surface, it should be treated with an antiseptic beforehand.

Breastfeeding mothers: apply the ointment to the nipple after each feeding.

Babies: apply the ointment after every change of underwear or water treatment.

Interaction

Drug interactions of D-Panthenol have not been described.

Special Instructions

The treatment of trophic ulcers and poorly healing skin grafts should be done under medical supervision.

Do not apply to soaking surfaces.

Contraindications

Side effects

When used as indicated and in the recommended doses, no side effects were observed.

Overdose

There are currently no reported cases of overdose of D-Panthenol.

Pregnancy use

Possible to use when indicated.

Similarities
