Pharmacological action:

D-Panthenol is a drug that improves tissue regeneration, for external use.

D-Panthenol is a derivative of pantothenic acid, which is a water-soluble B vitamin necessary as a component of coenzyme A for carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism. It plays an important role in the processes of acetylation during gluconeogenesis, energy release from carbohydrates, synthesis and breakdown of fatty acids, synthesis of sterols and steroid hormones, acetylcholine.

Pantothenic acid is necessary for maintaining normal epithelial function; its increased requirement is noted with skin or tissue damage, in which case local deficiency of pantothenic acid can be compensated by topical application of D-Panthenol ointment.

Stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cell metabolism, increases the strength of collagen fibers.
It has a regenerating, mild anti-inflammatory effect, nourishes and softens the skin.

Auxiliary substances improve the therapeutic properties of the ointment.

Indications

In children – diaper dermatitis, scratches, minor irritations after exposure to the sun, ultraviolet and x-ray radiation, for the treatment and prevention of diaper rash.
Cracks and inflammation of the nipples in nursing mothers.
Violations of the integrity of the skin caused by mechanical, chemical, temperature factors or after surgery (burns of various origins (including sunburn), scratches, abrasions, wounds, bedsores, poorly healing skin grafts, aseptic postoperative wounds).
Inflammatory processes on the skin, dermatitis, boils, trophic ulcers of the lower extremities, skin care around tracheostomy, gastrostomy, colostomy.
Treatment and prevention of the consequences of adverse effects on the skin of environmental factors (including cold, wind, humidity).

lanolin – 160 mg,

white beeswax – 50 mg,

white soft paraffin – 210.8 mg,

dimethicone – 5 mg,

emulsifier LANETTE SX – 20 mg,

propylene glycol – 20 mg,

butylated hydroxyanisole – 0.1 mg,

butylated hydroxytoluene – 0.1 mg,

decamethylcyclopentasiloxane – 20 mg,

magnesium sulfate heptahydrate – 5 mg,

protegin B – 295 mg,

purified water – 160 mg.

Pregnancy

Can be used according to indications.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side Effects

When used according to indications and in recommended doses, no side effects were observed.

Interaction

Drug interactions with D-Panthenol have not been described.

Overdose

Currently, no cases of overdose of the drug D-Panthenol have been reported.
