How to take, the dosage

In an acute attack of gout, 2 sugar-coated tablets (1 mg colchicine) are taken first, and then 1-3 tablets (0.5-1.5 mg colchicine) every 1-2 hours until the pain subsides. The total dose of the drug taken during a day should not exceed 16 tablets (8 mg colchicine). For prevention of acute attacks of gout in the first few months of treatment with uricosuric agents 1-3 sugar-coated tablets (0.5-1.5 mg of colchicine) are taken daily or every other day, usually for 3 months.

The sugar-coated drams are swallowed whole, without chewing, and with plenty of fluid.

Repeated treatment of an acute attack of gout can be done not earlier than 3 days later.
