Cofaceal-plus is a combination drug.

Acetylsalicylic acid has antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects, relieves pain, especially caused by inflammation, and moderately inhibits platelet aggregation and thrombosis, improves microcirculation in the inflammation focus.

Caffeine increases reflex excitability of the spinal cord, excites respiratory and vasomotor centers, dilates blood vessels of skeletal muscles, brain, heart and kidneys, reduces platelet aggregation; it reduces sleepiness and feeling of fatigue and increases mental and physical performance. In this combination, a small dose of caffeine has practically no stimulating effect on the CNS, but it helps normalize the tone of cerebral vessels and increase blood flow.

Paracetamol has analgesic, antipyretic and very weak anti-inflammatory activity, due to its effect on the thermoregulation center in the hypothalamus and weak ability to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins in the peripheral tissues.

Indications

Coficil-Plus is used in adults for mild to moderate pain syndrome (of various origins):

headache;
migraine;
toothache;
neuralgia;
myalgia;
arthralgia;
algodismenorrhea (pain during menstruation).

In adults and children over 15 years of age to reduce elevated body temperature, for colds and other infectious and inflammatory diseases.

Pharmacological effect

Coficil-plus is a combination drug.

Caffeine increases the reflex excitability of the spinal cord, stimulates the respiratory and vasomotor centers, dilates the blood vessels of skeletal muscles, brain, heart, kidneys, reduces platelet aggregation; reduces drowsiness, fatigue, increases mental and physical performance. In this combination, caffeine in a small dose has virtually no stimulating effect on the central nervous system, but helps normalize cerebral vascular tone and accelerate blood flow.

Paracetamol has an analgesic, antipyretic and extremely weak anti-inflammatory effect, which is associated with its effect on the thermoregulation center in the hypothalamus and a weak ability to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins in peripheral tissues.

Composition

Active ingredients:

acetylsalicylic acid 0.3 g;

paracetamol 0.1 g;

caffeine 0.05 g.

Pregnancy

Use during pregnancy in the first and third trimester is contraindicated; in the second trimester of pregnancy, a single dose of the drug in recommended doses is possible only if the expected benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus.
If it is necessary to use the drug during lactation, breastfeeding should be stopped.

Contraindications

increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug;
erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract (in the acute phase);
gastrointestinal bleeding;
increased tendency to bleed;
complete or incomplete combination of bronchial asthma, recurrent polyposis of the nose and paranasal sinuses and intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (including a history);
hemorrhagic diathesis (hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, telangiectasia, hypoprothrombinemia, thrombocytopenia, thrombocytopenic purpura);
dissecting aortic aneurysm;
portal hypertension;
vitamin K deficiency;
deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;
severe arterial hypertension;
severe course of coronary heart disease;
glaucoma;
increased excitability;
sleep disorders;
surgical interventions accompanied by bleeding.

With caution: hyperuricemia, urate nephrolithiasis, gout, peptic ulcer of the stomach and/or duodenum (history), severe heart failure, liver disease, old age.
