Pharmacological properties

It has a pronounced anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect.

Indications

In the treatment of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system, including arthritis, arthrosis.

Composition

Active ingredient:

The marsh rhizome of cinquefoil – 100 g

Associate:

Ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 40% – enough to obtain 1000 ml of the drug.

How to take, the dosage

Inside: 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of tincture, pre-diluted in 1/3 cup of water at room temperature, 2 times a day before meals.

Interaction

When using cinquefoil tincture in combination with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs there is an increase in the therapeutic effect, which allows to reduce the therapeutic dose of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Special Instructions

A short-term exacerbation of pain syndrome is possible during treatment, which disappears on its own, without cancelling the drug. A single dose of the drug contains 1.58 g (2 ml) of absolute alcohol; a daily dose contains 3.16 g (4 ml) of absolute alcohol.

The stated daily dose should not be exceeded.

Impact on driving, operating machinery

When using the drug, caution should be exercised when driving motor vehicles and engaging in other potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration and quick psychomotor reactions.

Contraindications

Individual sensitivity to the drug components, children under 18 years of age.

With caution (due to the content of ethanol), use in patients with severe liver function abnormalities, brain injuries and diseases, epilepsy, chronic alcoholism.

Persons with chronic diseases should always consult a physician before using the drug.

Side effects

In rare cases, allergic reactions, nausea, diarrhea may occur.

Overdose

When using the drug in doses significantly higher than those recommended, alcohol poisoning is possible. Treatment is symptomatic.

Pregnancy use

The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy and during breast-feeding.
