Chamomile flowers – a phytotherapy tool.

The complex of biologically active substances of chamomile flowers (essential oil, azulene, flavonoids, polysaccharides, vitamins, etc.) has antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, sedative, diaphoretic, analgesic, anti-ulcer effect.

The mechanism of antispasmodic action is explained by m-cholinolytic properties of glycosides of the plant.

It increases bile secretion, secretion of digestive glands, reduces fermentation in the intestine.

Indications

For oral use: spastic conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, flatulence, gastritis, peptic ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer, colitis, enterocolitis, liver and biliary diseases, painful menstruation, uterine bleeding, neurosis.

For local use: inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sore throat); inflammatory diseases of the genitourinary system; inflammation of the skin, wounds, ulcers.

How to take, the dosage

It is used orally, externally, topically. Dosing regimen depends on the indications for use.

2 filter pack (3 g) was placed in a glass or enamel bowl, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and infuse for 15 minutes, occasionally pressing down on the bags with a spoon, then they squeeze.

The volume of the resulting infusion bring boiled water to 100 ml.

Take internally in warm form, 2-3 tablespoons 2-3 times a day before meals.

For mikroklizm use 50 ml of warm infusion 1-2 times a day.

Outwardly it is used for rinses, lotions and baths.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to chamomile.
