Chamomile flowers – a phytotherapy tool.

The complex of biologically active substances of chamomile flowers (essential oil, azulene, flavonoids, polysaccharides, vitamins, etc.) has antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, sedative, diaphoretic, analgesic and anti-ulcer effects.

The mechanism of antispasmodic action is explained by the m-cholinolytic properties of the glycosides of the plant.

It increases bile secretion, secretion of digestive glands, reduces fermentation in the intestine.

Indications

For local use: inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sore throat); infectious and inflammatory diseases of the urogenital system; inflammation of the skin, wounds, ulcers.

Internal use: spastic conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, flatulence, gastritis, peptic ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer, colitis, enterocolitis, liver disease and biliary tract, painful menstruation, uterine bleeding, neurosis.

How to take, the dosage

It is used orally, externally, topically. Dosing regimen depends on the indications for use.

2 filter pack (3 g) was placed in a glass or enamel bowl, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and infused for 15 minutes, occasionally pressing down on the bags with a spoon, then they squeeze. The volume of the resulting infusion bring boiled water to 100 ml.

Take internally in warm form, 2-3 tablespoons 2-3 times a day before meals.

For mikroklizm use 50 ml of warm infusion 1-2 times a day.

Outwardly it is used for rinses, lotions and baths.
