Zernilton is a remedy for the treatment of prostate diseases of plant origin.

Cernilton has anti-inflammatory and anti-edema effects, helps regulate metabolic processes.

One of pharmacological properties of the drug is dose-dependent inhibition of COX and 5-lipoxygenase which leads to inhibition of synthesis of mediators of inflammation of arachidonic acid cycle: prostaglandins and leukotrienes and as the consequence to reduction of inflammation and edema of prostatic tissue. The drug promotes elimination of pain syndrome.

Cernilton has a muscle relaxant effect which leads to relaxation of the smooth muscle elements of the posterior urethral wall and improves urination.

The drug reduces the volume of the prostate due to inhibition of 5-alpha-reductase, selectively blocks alpha 1-adrenoreceptors of smooth muscle elements of the urethra and has anti-androgenic effect. Helps to improve erectile function.

Indications
