Castor oil for oral administration 30 g

When taken orally it is broken down by lipase in the small intestine to form ricinoleic acid, which irritates the intestinal receptors throughout its length and reflexive enhancement of peristalsis.

Laxative effect usually occurs after 5-6 hours.

When taking castor oil there is also a reflex contraction of the uterine muscles.

How to take, the dosage

Ingestion. In adults 15-30 g (1-2 tablespoons) once a day.

Children from 12 to 18 years are prescribed the drug by a doctor – 10-15 g (1 dessert spoon-1 tablespoon) once a day. The period of use should not exceed three days.

If after 3 days there is no improvement, or the symptoms worsen, or new symptoms appear, it is necessary to consult a doctor. Use only with the directions, route of administration, and dosage listed in the directions for use.
