Candid is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug for external use.
A derivative of imidazole. Disrupts synthesis of ergosterol, which is a part of the cell membrane of fungi, which leads to cell lysis.
It is active against dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, Microsporum), yeast and yeast-like fungi (Candida, Torulopsis, Rhodoturola), molds as well as Malassezia furfur, Aspergillus; some strains of Gram-positive bacteria (Streptococcus spp, Staphylococcus spp., Corynebacterium minutissimum), Gram-negative bacteria (Bacteroides spp., Gardnerella vaginalis), and Trichomonas vaginalis.

How to take, the dosage
A suitable amount of cream is rubbed into the previously washed and dry affected area of the skin 2-3 times a day.
The treatment should be continued for an additional 2-4 weeks after the disappearance of clinical symptoms in order to ensure mycological cure and prevent recurrence.

The drug is intended for use in dermatological practice only.
The use of the drug on areas of the skin with compromised skin integrity should be avoided.
Please note that if glucocorticoids are used externally over large areas of skin or with occlusive dressings, systemic absorption may occur.
The use of occlusive dressings may result in rash, folliculitis, and pyoderma.
Contraindications
Side effects
Itching, burning and swelling of the vaginal mucosa, vaginal discharge, headache, gastralgia, rapid urination, intercurrent cystitis, burning sensation in the penis of the sexual partner, pain during sexual intercourse.
Overdose
The use of the drug in high doses does not cause any life-threatening reactions or conditions.
Symptoms (in case of unintended oral administration):
Anorexia, nausea, vomiting, gastralgia, impaired liver function; rarely, somnolence, hallucinations, pollakiuria, skin allergic reactions.
Treatment:
Prescription of activated charcoal, if necessary – symptomatic therapy; there is no specific antidote.
Pregnancy use
The safety of using the drug Candide during pregnancy and lactation has not been established.
Therefore, avoid prescribing the drug in large amounts or for prolonged periods of time during these periods.
