Candid is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug for external use.
A derivative of imidazole.
Disrupts synthesis of ergosterol which is part of the cell membrane of fungi, which leads to cell lysis.
Active against:
– dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, Microsporum),
– yeast and yeast-like fungi (Candida, Torulopsis, Rhodoturola), <
– mold fungi, as well as Malassezia furfur, Aspergillus,
– some strains of Gram-positive bacteria (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp. , Corynebacterium minutissimum),
– Gram-negative bacteria (Bacteroides spp. , Gardnerella vaginalis),
– as well as Trichomonas vaginalis.
Indications
dermatophytosis of the head (including the face), body, legs;
mycosis of nails;
pityriasis versicolor;
skin candidiasis;
candidal paronychia;
candidiasis vulvitis;
candidal balanitis;
candidiasis of the external genitalia and anus;
fungal diaper dermatitis;
erythrasma.

Special instructions
The drug is intended for use only in dermatological practice.
It is necessary to avoid using the drug on areas of the skin where the integrity of the skin is damaged.
It should be borne in mind that when glucocorticoids are applied externally over large areas of skin or with occlusive dressings, systemic absorption is possible.
When using occlusive dressings, it is possible to develop a rash, folliculitis, and pyoderma.

glycerin – 495 mg.
Pregnancy
The safety of using the drug Candide during pregnancy and lactation has not been established.
Therefore, prescribing the drug in large quantities or for long periods of time should be avoided during these periods.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity;
specific skin lesions (including tuberculosis, chicken pox, herpes simplex, measles, syphilis);
skin reactions at the vaccination site.
Side Effects
Itching, burning and swelling of the vaginal mucosa, vaginal discharge, headache, gastralgia, frequent urination, intercurrent cystitis, burning sensation in the penis of the sexual partner, pain during sexual intercourse.
Overdose
The use of the drug in high doses does not cause any reactions or life-threatening conditions.
Symptoms (in case of unintended oral use of the drug): anorexia, nausea, vomiting, gastralgia, liver dysfunction; rarely – drowsiness, hallucinations, pollakiuria, allergic skin reactions.
Treatment: administration of activated carbon, if necessary, symptomatic therapy; there is no specific antidote.
