Pharmacodynamics

Cameton is a combined drug for topical use, the effect of which is determined by its constituent components. It has a local anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and moderate local anesthetic effect.

Chlorobutanol has moderate local anesthetic, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic action.

Camphor has an irritant and partially antiseptic effect and increases blood flow at the site of application.

Levomenthol has a local irritant effect, accompanied by a sensation of cold. An irritating (distracting) effect helps eliminate pain sensations. It also has mild antiseptic properties.

Eucalyptus oil has a stimulating effect on the receptors of mucous membranes, also has a weak local anti-inflammatory and antiseptic activity. The combination of these pharmacological properties provides a comprehensive pathogenetic therapy of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

Data about pharmacokinetics of the drug are absent due to low systemic absorption.

Indications

Composition

1 cylinder contains:

Active substances (content in one cylinder):

Chlorobutanol Hemihydrate,

Synthetic camphor,

L-menthol (levomenthol),

Eucalyptus oil 0.1 g each;

Maintenance:

isopropyl myristate,

Propellant R 134a (1,1,1,2 tetrafluoroethane).

How to take, the dosage

Spray in the nasal cavity or mouth during the inhalation phase 3-4 times a day.

There are 2-3 sprays per inhalation session and the sprayed product is inhaled for 1-2 minutes.

In one press of the valve, 100 mg of the product is sprayed from the cylinder.

Interaction

Systemic effects when using the drug as prescribed are practically eliminated, which allows the parallel use of other drugs without the risk of their interaction with the components of the drug.

Special Instructions

Do not tilt your head or turn the can upside down when spraying in the nasal cavity.

Prevent multiple people from using the same bottle to avoid spreading infection.

You should avoid getting it in your eyes while spraying the product.

The contents of the bottles are pressurized, so bottles need to be protected from impact and direct sunlight, and not heated, broken, punctured, or incinerated, even when empty.

Hypersensitivity.

Side effects

Individual intolerance, allergic reactions in the form of skin rashes are possible, which go away on their own after discontinuation of the drug.

A slight burning and tingling sensation may occur when using the drug.

Pregnancy use

There is no sufficient experience on the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation.

If it is necessary to use the drug during pregnancy, the potential benefit to the mother and the possible risk to the fetus should be assessed.

Because of the low systemic absorption of the components of the drug, it is possible to use the drug while breast-feeding.

It is contraindicated in children under 5 years of age.
