Calendula tincture has antiseptic, choleretic, antispasmodic and local anti-inflammatory effects.
Indications
Used externally as an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory agent for cuts, bruises, eczema; locally – for gargling for inflammatory diseases of the throat (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis) and oral mucosa (stomatitis, gingivitis, periodontitis).
Calendula tincture is used internally for cholecystitis and cholangitis as part of complex therapy.

Calendula tincture has antiseptic, choleretic, antispasmodic and local anti-inflammatory effects.
Active ingredient
Calendula officinalis flowers tincture
Composition
Active ingredient: Calendula officinalis flowers (marigold flowers) – 100 g
Excipient: ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 70% – to obtain 1000 ml of tincture.
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.
When administered orally: acute gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum during exacerbation; calculous cholecystitis; pregnancy, breastfeeding period, age up to 18 years.
Side Effects
Allergic reactions are possible (redness of the skin, rash, itching, angioedema). When taken orally – heartburn, nausea, bitterness in the mouth, abdominal pain.
With caution: Liver diseases, alcoholism, traumatic brain injury, brain diseases.
Interaction
Calendula tincture enhances the effect of other anti-inflammatory and choleretic drugs (in particular drugs based on chamomile and yarrow).
If used simultaneously with any other medicines, you should inform your doctor.
Overdose
To date, no cases of overdose have been reported with the use of the drug.
