Pharmacological properties and recommendations for use: Used for hyperphosphatemia, calcium deficiency in the body, osteoporosis, to reduce the risk of kidney disease from excessive phosphate. In OPN and CPN, in people on dialysis, when, despite dietary restriction of phosphorus, phosphate-binding drugs are prescribed.

Phosphorus absorption in the gastrointestinal tract restores positive calcium balance in people with mild, moderate and severe renal failure and those on hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. Calcium-based phosphate-binding drug is effective for bone mineralization, reducing serum phosphorus levels. Allows effective control of phosphorus, calcium and parathyroid hormone levels.

Interaction

Take calcium acetate with meals and iron preparations one hour after meals.

Consult with your doctor when taking calcium acetate.

In high calcium or phosphorus levels, taking Alpha-D3 is undesirable.
