Description

Restores positive calcium balance.

Absorbs phosphorus from the gastrointestinal tract, reduces serum levels of phosphorus.

Phosphate-binding drugs should not be taken at the same time as iron preparations and some antibiotics, as this will reduce the effect of both.

Take calcium acetate with meals and iron preparations one hour after meals.

Consult with your doctor when taking calcium acetate.

In high calcium or phosphorus levels, taking Alpha-D3 is undesirable.
