Pharmacodynamics
PNPS, propionic acid derivative. It has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.
Inhibiting COX-1 and COX-2, inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins. It has anti-bradykinin activity, stabilizes lysosomal membranes. It reduces the release of cytokines and inhibits the activity of neutrophils.
In joint syndrome, it relieves joint pain at rest and on movement, reduces morning stiffness and joint swelling, helps increase range of motion.

When the gel is applied externally, there is extremely slow transdermal absorption of ketoprofen, which ensures that its concentration in the inflamed tissues is maintained within therapeutic levels for a long time. Absorption into the systemic bloodstream is insignificant. It practically does not cumulate. The bioavailability of the gel is about 5%.
Distribution
Ketoprofen penetrates well into the synovial fluid and connective tissue.
Indications
Inflammatory or traumatic lesions of joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles:
arthritis, periarthritis;
tendinitis, tenosynovitis;
bursitis;
bruises, ligament damage, dislocations, damage to the meniscus of the knee;
torticollis;
lumbago.
Phlebitis, periphlebitis.

Pregnancy
The drug is contraindicated for use during pregnancy and lactation.

Hypersensitivity to ketoprofen or other components of the drug;
dermatoses;
eczema;
infected abrasions and wounds;
pregnancy and lactation;
childhood.
Side Effects
In isolated cases: allergic reactions that require discontinuation of the drug, photosensitivity.
Interaction
Currently, no cases of drug interactions between Bystrumgel® and other drugs have been identified.
Overdose
There are no cases of overdose with the use of Bystrumgel®.
