Pharmacodynamics
PNPS, propionic acid derivative. It has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.
Inhibiting COX-1 and COX-2, inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins. It has anti-bradykinin activity, stabilizes lysosomal membranes. It reduces the release of cytokines and inhibits the activity of neutrophils.
In joint syndrome, it relieves joint pain at rest and on movement, reduces morning stiffness and joint swelling, helps increase range of motion.
Pharmacokinetics
Assimilation
. When the gel is applied externally, there is extremely slow transdermal absorption of ketoprofen, which ensures that its concentration in the inflamed tissues is maintained within therapeutic levels for a long time. Absorption into the systemic bloodstream is insignificant. It practically does not cumulate. Bioavailability of the gel is about 5%.
Distribution
Ketoprofen penetrates well into the synovial fluid and connective tissue.

The active ingredients:
Ketoprofen 25 mg.
Excipients:
ethanol (ethyl alcohol) rectified,
nipagine,
carbomer,
p> tromethamol,
lavender oil,
neroli oil,
purified water.
How to take, the dosage
The product is applied to the skin of the painful area twice a day, squeezing about 3-5 cm of gel or more from the tube (depending on the area of the painful area), distributed in an even thin layer and gently rubbed in until completely absorbed.
In order to increase the effectiveness of therapy, it is possible to apply the gel under a dry occlusive dressing.
Interaction
At the present time, no cases of drug interactions of Bystromgel® with other medicinal products have been identified.
Special Instructions
It is not recommended to apply the gel to open wounds or damaged skin.
Please do not allow the gel to come into contact with mucous membranes or the eyes.
Contraindications
Side effects
In isolated cases:
Allergic reactions that require withdrawal of the drug, photosensitization.
Overdose
No cases of overdose have been described with Bystromgel®.
Pregnancy use
The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
