Bronchicum TP, elixir 130 g

The drug has expectorant, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator, antimicrobial action, reduces the viscosity of sputum and accelerates its evacuation.

Indications

As an expectorant in the complex treatment of inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract (bronchitis, tracheitis, etc.), accompanied by a cough with difficult to separate sputum.

Pharmacological effect

The drug has an expectorant, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator, antimicrobial effect, helps reduce the viscosity of sputum and accelerate its evacuation.

Special instructions

If the patient’s condition does not improve, or if attacks of suffocation, purulent sputum, or fever occur, you should immediately consult a doctor. Elixir Bronchicum contains 5.46% ethyl alcohol by volume.

Thyme vulgare herb extract

Composition

100 g of elixir contains:

Active components:

liquid thyme herb extract – 5.0 g;
liquid primrose root extract – 2.5 g

Auxiliary components:

sodium benzoate
special sugar syrup*
purified water.

* – a mixture of sucrose, dextrose (glucose) and fructose.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug;
congenital fructose intolerance;
glucose-fructose malabsorption;
deficiency of the enzymes sucrase and isomaltase;
chronic heart failure (in the stage of decompensation);
severe liver dysfunction;
severe renal dysfunction;
children’s age (1 year);
alcoholism (due to the content of ethyl alcohol in the drug);
pregnancy and lactation period.

Patients with: liver diseases should take the syrup with caution and only after consulting a doctor; diseases and injuries of the brain; epilepsy.

Side Effects

Allergic reactions: skin rash;

hives;

angioedema of the face and mucous membrane of the oral cavity and pharynx (Quincke’s edema).

In this case, you must stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

Interaction

Concomitant use with antitussive drugs, as well as with drugs that reduce the formation of sputum, is not recommended, as this makes it difficult to cough up liquefied sputum.
