The drug has expectorant, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator, antimicrobial action, reduces sputum viscosity and accelerates its evacuation.

Indications

As a symptomatic remedy in the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by cough with difficult to separate sputum.

Pharmacological effect

The drug has an expectorant, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator, antimicrobial effect, helps reduce the viscosity of sputum and accelerate its evacuation.

Special instructions

One lozenge corresponds to 0.07 XE (bread units), which must be taken into account by patients with diabetes mellitus, as well as those on a low-calorie diet.

If there is no improvement within 5 days, you should consult a doctor.

Composition

1 lozenge contains:

Active ingredient:

liquid thyme herb extract (Thymus vulgaris L, family Lamiaceae) – 100,000 mg.

The ratio of thyme herb to extractant is 1:2-2.5.

Extractant:

Ammonia solution 10%,

glycerin 85%,

ethyl alcohol 90% (v/v),

water; in a ratio of 1:20:70:109.

Excipients:

sucrose,

povidone,

levomenthol,

cineole,

acacia gum,

stearic acid,

colloidal silicon dioxide,

magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug;
chronic heart failure (in the stage of decompensation);
severe dysfunction of the liver and kidneys;
children’s age (up to 6 years);
The drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Allergic reactions: angioedema of the face, skin rash;

Interaction

It is not advisable to take it simultaneously with antitussive drugs, as well as with drugs that reduce the formation of sputum, as this makes it difficult to cough up liquefied sputum.
