Boric acid powder, 10 g

Boric acid is an antiseptic agent, also has insecticidal (including antipediculosis) effect. It coagulates proteins (including enzyme proteins) of microbial cell, breaks cell membrane permeability. 5% aqueous solution inhibits phagocytosis processes, 2 4% solution inhibits bacterial growth and development.

It has an irritating effect on mucous membranes, granulation tissues. Upon absorption it has systemic toxic effects.

Pharmacokinetics

It penetrates well through skin and mucous membranes; it is slowly excreted and may accumulate in organs and tissues. Excreted by the kidneys In 50% (within 12 hours), the remainder within 5-7 days.

How to take, the dosage

Appointment in skin diseases (eczema, dermatitis, pyoderma, diaper rash) 3% aqueous solution for lotions.

Dissolve 2 g of the powder in 65-70 ml of hot boiled water (dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of powder in 80-90 ml of hot boiled water), let the solution cool down to room temperature and use for lotions.

Special Instructions

Avoid application to mucous membranes and large areas of the body.
