BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
.The action of the drug is conditioned by high concentration of bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium bifidum) adsorbed on activated charcoal particles, which are antagonists of a wide range of pathogenic (shigella, salmonella, staphylococcus aureus etc.) and conditionally pathogenic bifidobacteria.) and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms (Proteus, Klebsiella, etc.). Microcolonies of sorbed bifidobacteria provide rapid recovery of normal microflora, which, as a natural biosorbent, accumulates a significant amount of foreign or formed in the body toxic substances. Sorbed bifidobacteria activate regenerative processes in mucous membranes, wall-to-wall digestion, synthesis of vitamins and amino acids, enhance immune protection of the body.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is used from birth (including premature babies), adults of all age groups.

Depending on the severity of the disease Bifidumbacterin forte® is used in regular or increased doses.

Bifidumbacterin forte® for therapeutic purposes in normal doses:

Course of treatment for acute intestinal infections and food toxic infections 5-7 days, for other diseases 15-21 days (determined by the nature and severity of the disease). If necessary, the treatment course can be repeated 2-3 times, each time in a month after the previous course of treatment.

Patients with surgical pathology – for 3-5 days before surgery and for 10-15 days after surgery:

Patients with diabetes mellitus should know that 10 capsules of the preparation contain 0.17 IU.

For preventive purposes, children under 1 year old take 1 capsule 1 time per day. Other age groups take 1-2 capsules 1-2 times a day.

For prevention of dysbacteriosis in children and adults who are often ill with ARVI the drug is used for 10-15 days, 2-3 times a year. For prevention of hospital-acquired infections in maternity homes and hospitals the drug is used for 5-l0 days.

Bifidumbacterin forte® is taken orally with meals, with water or milk products, if necessary, regardless of meals.

For children and patients who cannot swallow the whole capsule, it is opened. The contents of the capsule are mixed with liquid food, preferably fermented dairy products or a small amount of boiled water at room temperature to obtain a suspension with black sorbent particles. The resulting suspension should be drunk without achieving complete dissolution. Newborns and infants can mix the contents of the capsule with mother’s milk or formula for artificial feeding.
