Betahistine, tablets 24 mg 30 pcs

Agonist of H₁-receptors of the inner ear vessels and antagonist of H₃-receptors of the vestibular nucleiCNS. By direct agonist effect on H₁-receptors of inner ear vessels and also indirectly through the effect on H₃-receptors it improves microcirculation and capillary permeability, normalizes endolymph pressure in labyrinth and cochlea, increases blood flow in basilar artery.

It has a pronounced central effect, being an inhibitor of H₃-receptors of the vestibular nerve nuclei. It improves conduction in neurons of vestibular nuclei at brainstem level.

The clinical manifestation of the above properties is reduction of the frequency and intensity of dizziness, reduction of tinnitus, improvement of hearing if it is reduced.

The active ingredient: betahistine dihydrochloride24 mg;

Auxiliary substances: MCC; lactose (milk sugar); citric acid monohydrate; colloidal silicon dioxide (aerosil); crosspovidone; talc; magnesium stearate.

How to take, the dosage

Internal, with meals. 1/2-1 tablets 3 times a day.

Emprovement is usually seen at the beginning of therapy. Stable therapeutic effect occurs after two weeks of treatment and may increase during several months of treatment. Treatment is long. The duration of therapy is determined individually.

Special Instructions

Patients with a history of gastric or duodenal ulcer disease, pheochromocytoma or bronchial asthma should be prescribed the drug under regular medical supervision.

Influence on driving and operating ability

Betahistine has no sedative effect and does not affect the ability to drive or engage in activities requiring rapid psychomotor reaction.
